Much like Danny's paintings and drawings, Danny’s photography is inspired by the male form, nature and the gay experience. In fact, many of Danny’s drawings and paintings are derivatives of photographs that he or his husband, Joe, have taken on their various travels or near their home in southern California. As a result, Danny was reluctant to publish his photographs. However, over time, he has come to view them as more than just work product utilized to create other artwork, and he has embraced them as a separate and unique form of his art.
Danny hopes that his photographs provide the viewer with an intimate look at his life and travels, and sheds greater light on his artistic vision.
Danny's photographs have been published in Passport Magazine (June 2022).
In the words of Moira Rose (Schitt's Creek), "Take a thousand, naked pictures of yourself now. You may currently think, 'Oh, I'm too spooky.' Or, 'Nobody wants to see these tiny boobies.' But, believe me, one day you will look at those photos with much kinder eyes and say, 'Dear God, I was a beautiful thing!'...and make sure you submit those photos to the Internet. Otherwise, your own children will go looking for them one day and, tragically, they won't be there."
